Tom Wheeler Becomes President of the Adirondack 46ers
Tom Wheeler (right) was elected president of the Adirondack 46ers at their annual spring meeting in Lake Placid on the Memorial Day weekend; he is shown with 46ers’ immediate past president Jim Barnshaw (left) of Princeton, NJ. Tom is an active member of the Laurentian Chapter and former president of the ADK.
The 46ers, an association of hikers who have climbed all forty six of the designated High Peaks of the Adirondacks, promotes hiking in the mountains by corresponding with aspiring members to give encouragement and support; by conducting volunteer trail maintenance; and by conducting outdoor skills and leadership courses.
