Spring Potluck to Feature Northern Forest Canoe Trail
The chapter’s traditional spring “mud season” potluck supper will be held on April 25, at First Presbyterian Church, Potsdam. Arrive at 5 p.m. for supper to start at 5:30 p.m. Please bring your own table service and a dish to pass. Everyone is welcome - members and the general public alike.
After supper we will enjoy a presentation by Kate Williams, executive director of Northern Forest Canoe Trail (NFCT), a not-for-profit organization that promotes the use of the canoe route of the same name. The 740-mile trail runs from Old Forge, New York, to Fort Kent, Maine, on the New Brunswick border. It passes through New York, Vermont, Quebec, New Hampshire, and Maine. Take a visual tour of the trail which focuses on some of the highlights identified by paddlers during the trail’s first ten years.
