Meet Our Nominees for Chapter Offices
Bill Mueller is our candidate for Outings Vice-chair. He grew up in Syracuse and hiked the Adirondacks as a youth. He and his wife Pat retired to South Colton six years ago after a career in anthropology in Texas. He graduated from the Wanakena Ranger School forest technology program in 2006. He and instructor Jamie Savage wrote an article on the Tooley Pond firetower and associated ranger school trails for ADK’s July-August Adirondac.
Hollis Easter is our candidate for Membership Vice-chair. Hollis grew up in Potsdam in an ADK family. His outdoor interests include skiing, rock climbing, hiking, snowshoeing, testing outdoor gear, and piloting small aircraft. He works at Reachout and is currently in graduate school studying organization management. Hollis previously served as Outings Vice-chair. His computer skills will serve him well in his new position.
Ellie Menz will be serving a second term as Treasurer. She is an accountant by profession, so she is well qualified for the position. She lives in Colton. In her spare time she likes to go out in her kayak.
Peter O’Shea will be serving a second term as Conservation Vice-chair. Peter retired from a career in law enforcement in New York City to the relative peace and quiet of Fine. He wrote the first edition of ADK’s trail guide to the northern region of the Adirondacks. He has also written books and articles on natural history. He is an ardent conservationist.
