New Chapter Officers Elected
Treasurer - Mary Jane Watson is a retired CPA who has been a member of ADK for many years and was one of the founding partners of Pinto, Mucenski & Watson, PC in Potsdam. She is currently active in the Raquette River Blueway Corridor effort and serves as Treasurer for the Orchestra Association of Northern New York, Inc. and the Colton Fire District.
VC Conservation - John Omohundro has been a chapter member since 1975, serving as chair three times and conservation vice chair once. Most recently he has shared the newsletter editor position with his wife Susan. He coordinates the Red Sandstone Trail for the chapter and sits on the Raquette River Advisory Council as club representative. He hopes to bring more local conservation issues to the attention of the chapter.
VC Membership - Lila Green Hunnewell grew up in Brooklyn, NY, lived many years in New Jersey (with an 8-year hiatus in Maine), and moved with her husband Charles to the North Country in 2006. She had a short career teaching secondary English, World Geography, and general science, followed by a longer career as an editor/writer in the fields of education, business, and medicine. Happily retired, Lila and Charlie now hike, canoe, and snowshoe with our chapter, enjoy their children and grandchildren, and admit to being news junkies. They are grateful for the many splendid cultural and outdoor opportunities in the North Country.
VC Outings - Bill Mueller has been the outings vice-chair for the past two years. The executive committee has decided not to oust him for the time being, and he is willing to continue his job for a while with a little help from his friends, like you!
