Ragnar Relay Race Returns
Volunteer and Raise Funds for Adk and Laurentian Chapter
Calling all volunteers! Ragnar Relay, the largest overnight running relay series in the US, is back again holding a relay race in the Adirondacks. ADK has been chosen as the official charity for their 2013 Adirondacks Race. Ragnar will donate $100 to ADK for each volunteer we provide! For every Laurentian Chapter member who signs up, the chapter will receive $50. Get your friends together and help out! Costumes and enthusiastic attitudes are welcomed and encouraged!
When September 27 & 28, 2013, early Friday morning to Saturday night. Yes it is an OVERNIGHT relay!
Where The relay starts at the Saratoga Spa State Park in Saratoga Springs, skirts along the Hudson River, passes through the Lake George region, up the southern side of Lake Champlain and ends in Lake Placid.
When & Where to Help Volunteers are needed at different relay exchange points for various shifts along the 193 mile route including the start/finish lines. There is also a need for cyclist volunteers on the Warren County Bike Trail leg.
What are the Duties? Volunteers help with such tasks as exchange set-up and break-down, time keeping, traffic and crowd control, and maintenance.
The Perks Perks include an official race t-shirt, race packet, and access to all events including the Finish Line party at the Lake Placid Horse Show Grounds.
