Oswegatchie River Blueway Open Houses Scheduled
Ogdensburg, September 22
Cranberry Lake & Canton, September 23
A series of open houses has been scheduled to provide the public with an update on the progress of the Oswegatchie Blueway Trail study. The purpose of the study is to identify strategies for economic development and sustainable tourism through recreational access to the Oswegatchie River and the many other year-round recreation resources along the river corridor. The study commenced in the late spring. This is the second of three rounds of meetings and open houses on the project. Participants can expect an update on the project and will be invited to give their input on preliminary plan elements. Results from the July public meetings as well as the project survey will also be available for review.
The open houses are planned throughout the corridor to encourage as many people as possible to attend. These meetings feature a drop-in format with a brief presentation at the beginning of each. These open houses are free and open to the public and the public is urged to attend. The dates and locations are:
- 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 22, Dobisky Visitors’ Center, 100 Riverside Ave., Ogdensburg, NY 13669
- Noon, Wednesday, Sept. 23, Clifton Community Library, 7171 NY-3, Cranberry Lake, NY 12927
