2023 Outings summary

In 2023 we offered over 100 outings: 52 weekly walks, 24 hikes, 8 snowshoes, 1 ski, 2 paddles, 1 bushwhack, 2 forest bathing events, 4 trail-work days, 3 road walks, 2 birdwatches, 2 wildflower walks, and a cycle outing. Our outing schedule is published 4 times a year. Current offerings are on our events page.

Partnerships

Partnerships have proven to be a great way to offer more diverse events and introduce the Chapter to new people. This past year we ran 5 hikes with Potsdam Public Library, a workshop on maple tree monitoring and citizen science with Nature Up North, a Pride Outside hike with Potsdam Pride, the annual loon count with the Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation, and a Red Sandstone Trail history hike with SOAR, a lifelong learning institute hosted by SUNY Potsdam.
