Meeting of June 23, 2007
At our June 23, 2007 meeting in Lake George, the main item of interest, beyond the regular committee report, was the "ADK Blueprint for the Future", presented by Curt Miller, president, and John Million, deputy executive director. This was an initial look at a plan to address "structural problems" in ADK. The plan will be further developed and brought to the directors at the September meeting. The club continues to operate with a balanced budget, but there are a number of unfilled staff positions - which reveal the need to address those structural issues.
Much good news was reported at the meeting, including victories on key conservation fronts, enhancements to Adirondac and the club website, improvements to JBL and other properties, cooperative relationships with National Geographic Society for maps, very successful adventure travel outings, and more.
Fall Outing is being hosted by Niagara Frontier chapter in Buffalo. Watch for news.
